The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the new minimum cut-off mark for admission into both public and private universities across Nigeria as 150. This decision was reached during the recent policy meeting on admissions into tertiary institutions.

Candidates who scored below 150 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby informed that they will not be considered for admission into any university for the current academic session. This includes scores ranging from 149 down to 140.

With this announcement, the admission process for qualified applicants is set to commence immediately. Institutions are now at liberty to begin their admission screening exercises, and candidates who meet or exceed the 150 cut-off mark should be on the lookout for further directives from their chosen institutions regarding Post-UTME screenings and other admission requirements.

It is important for all prospective students to stay updated with their chosen universities for specific departmental cut-off marks, which may be higher than the JAMB general cut-off, and other admission guidelines.
